The North Star Imagination Library does more than send books to children.

The North Star Imagination Library is a community supported organization.

You can help!

Since May 2008, the North Star Imagination Library has been registering children to receive free, age-appropriate books every month in the mail.  There are no income requirements, children must simply be under the age of five and live in the North Star Borough.

The 2018 Champions for Children Recognition Dinner is scheduled for Thursday, November 8. Nominations are currently being accepted. For more information, to view the 2017 winners, or to submit a nomination, click HERE.

You're invited to a Birthday Party! The North Star Imagination Library is

Total enrollment continues to grow even with hundreds of children moving away or graduating (turning five). Preschools, child care centers, WIC, and the Fairbanks Children’s Museum are just some of the places enrolling children around town.  According to the 2010 census, almost 8,000 children under five live in the North Star Borough. Our goal is to enroll them all!

> Inspire a lifelong love of reading by providing high quality, age-appropriate books directly to children by mail each month

> Register children to receive a free book every month in the mail from birth until their fifth birthday

> Raise money for the books through individual, business and service group donations, grants, and our Champions for Children fundraising dinner

To date, over 394,000 books have been delivered into the hands of children from Fox to Salcha, Two Rivers to Ester, and thousands of households in between.
